Painter of the Dreams of Plants
ROGER SORRELL
Roger Sorrell lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he has been involved in the artistic scene and environmental movement for many years. His art reflects his passionate commitment to portray the majesty and unparalleled beauty of the Hawaiian tropical environment, particularly the extraordinarily rare or endangered native species of Hawaiian flowers and plants. He has had a long relationship with Lyon Arboretum in Honolulu through both his art and in his work with the Lyon Arboretum Micropropagation Laboratory to conserve and propagate the Hawaiian native plants.
Roger is excited to announce that most of his works are also available as 8"x10" vibrant prints on aluminum and 8"x10" ceramic tiles. These prints are personally supervised and are magnificent faithful copies of his works. The aluminum prints come with a hanger for easy wall hanging, and the ceramic tiles come with a beautiful wooden stand for display. To inquire about these, please contact him through the contact page on this website. Roger's paintings and ceramic prints are exhibited at the Waikiki Ocean Gallery, at the Waikiki Outrigger Reef Hotel.
Roger's paintings and prints are usually available to see in exhibits in various places on Oahu. He also has a studio and gallery in his home. To visit his studio or get updates on his current exhibits, contact him through this website.
Roger is also on Facebook, where he posts his latest works.
