Roger lives in Honolulu, Hawaii. His art reflects his passionate commitment to portray the majesty and unparalleled beauty of the Hawaiian tropical environment, particularly the extraordinarily rare or endangered native species of Hawaiian flowers and plants. He has a studio and gallery in his home. He also exhibits at University of Hawaii's Lyon Arboretum, with which he has had a long relationship through both his art and in his work with the Lyon Arboretum Micropropagation Laboratory to conserve and propagate the Hawaiian native plants .
